The Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumawu in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim, has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting education in the constituency, assuring that no child will be denied schooling due to financial constraints.

Speaking at a ceremony in Kumawu, Hon. Anim presented trunks, chop boxes, and cash to 400 first-year Senior High School students. The initiative is aimed at easing the financial burden on parents while encouraging students to excel academically.
“This is my promise to you and your families,” Hon. Anim said. “Education is a powerful tool, and I am determined to ensure that our brilliant students get the support they need to succeed.”

He urged the students to take their studies seriously, reminding them that the support provided would only be meaningful if they remained committed to learning. “Your dedication in the classroom is the best way to honour the trust and investment being made in you,” he added.
Parents of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that will significantly reduce the financial pressures of schooling. Many noted that the gesture has rekindled hope for children whose families struggle to meet educational expenses.
Several students also shared their excitement, pledging to work hard and make their constituency proud. “I am very thankful to Hon. Anim for believing in us. I promise to study hard and make the most of this support,” one beneficiary remarked.

Education officers in the area lauded the MP for his hands-on approach to supporting learning, highlighting the importance of community leaders investing directly in human capital development.
The initiative forms part of a broader plan by Hon. Anim to improve educational outcomes in Kumawu, which includes scholarships, provision of learning materials, and mentorship programs for bright but needy students.

“This is just the beginning,” Hon. Anim said. “We will continue to identify and support brilliant students across Kumawu. Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, and I am committed to making that a reality.”
The ceremony concluded with an atmosphere of appreciation, with parents and students praising the MP for his dedication to nurturing the next generation of leaders in the constituency.
