ENCHI COLLEGE OF EDUCATION LAUDS AOWIN MCE FOR DONATING POWER PLANT

The Enchi College of Education has lauded the Aowin Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Stephen Ntow Morcher, for his generous donation of a modern power plant to the institution. The College describes the intervention as timely and crucial for strengthening academic work.

According to College Management, the donation arrives at a period when intermittent power challenges risk disrupting teaching, practical lessons, ICT activities, and administrative operations. They noted that the new power plant will provide a more stable and uninterrupted electricity supply, essential for sustaining the College’s growing academic demands.

Speaking during the brief presentation ceremony on campus, Management commended the Aowin MCE for demonstrating strong leadership and a consistent dedication to advancing education within the municipality. They said the gesture reflects a deeper partnership between the College and the Assembly.

Officials stressed that reliable electricity is indispensable for academic excellence, especially for night studies, research in the library, and the use of digital tools in modern classrooms. The power plant, they added, will reduce the institution’s vulnerability to national grid fluctuations and improve overall productivity.

Hon. Stephen Ntow Morcher, in presenting the equipment, reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to supporting teacher education and strengthening institutions that contribute directly to national development. He emphasized that education remains a top priority for the municipality.

The MCE explained that the donation forms part of a broader strategy to resource educational institutions with critical infrastructure, ensuring that students and teachers operate in a conducive environment that promotes effective teaching and learning.

Students and community members who witnessed the event described the gesture as a commendable act of leadership. They noted that the College plays a vital role in training competent teachers for the Western North Region and the country at large.

Students, in particular, expressed excitement about the donation, saying it will greatly enhance their evening studies, ICT practicals, and examination preparations, especially during peak academic periods.

College Management extended heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Morcher, assuring him that the equipment will be properly maintained and used strictly for its intended purpose. They said the donation aligns perfectly with the institution’s vision of becoming a leading centre for teacher training in Ghana.

They further expressed hope that the strong collaboration between the College and the Aowin Municipal Assembly will continue, as both parties work together to advance quality education in the region.
