THE DIBSI-NAKPAYILI VISITATION AND FAMILIARISATION OF THE LIVELIHOOD EMPOWERMENT AGAINST POVERTY (LEAP) PAYMENT TO BENEFICIARIES IN THE NANUMBA SOUTH DISTRICT

Earlier this morning, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Nanumba South District, who also doubles as the Central Government Representative, Honourable Abdul Rashid Musah, together with his entourage, visited the Nanumba South District Social Welfare Officer, Mr. Abdul Fatawu Imoro, at Nakpayili, in connection with the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) payment to its beneficiaries.

Out of a total of 6,349 beneficiaries in the Nanumba South District, 405 are from the Dibsi-Nakpayili section and 58 from the Bandajua-Nakpayili section. These two sections are part of the ten selected communities under the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) programme.

Today is the scheduled payment day for the Dibsi-Nakpayili and Bandajua-Nakpayili sections, with an increased payment rate. On the 5th of August 2025, the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP) commenced the bi-monthly cash grant payment to beneficiary households nationwide.

The 97th cycle payment includes top-up arrears resulting from the increase (to match inflation) of the social cash grant to LEAP beneficiary households, which took effect during the 96th cycle disbursement (June 2025). The 97th cycle covers payments for May and June 2025.

Payment Breakdown:

The activity took place at Nakpayili (Dibsi), and the focal person was the Assemblyman for the Nakpayili Electoral Area, Honourable Abdul Wahab.

The payment is being facilitated by Tizaa Rural Bank, Kpandai Branch, led by Mr. Kona Ababere, System Administrator, and his team.
