On Saturday, January 11, 2025, Hon. Frank Bekoe Asiedu Protozoa, the representative of Suhum Constituency in the 9th Parliament of Ghana, visited the fire victims at Suhum Amponsah Market and donated GH₵10,000 to support them in this difficult time.
The affected traders, who lost their goods and properties in the unfortunate incident, were pleased and relieved to see their MP standing by them. They expressed their gratitude for his timely intervention and support during this difficult time.
During his visit, Protozoa emphasized the importance of fire safety, describing fire as a good servant but a bad master. He urged the community to be vigilant and proactive, stating, “If you see something, say something,” to help prevent future disasters.
In addition, Protozoa donated GH₵40,000 to the Suhum Fire Service to fuel their fire tanker, ensuring they are well-equipped to respond to emergencies, especially during this dry season.
