ORAG MOURNS HELICOPTER CRASH VICTIMS

The Okada Riders Association of Ghana (ORAG) has expressed its profound sorrow over the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight Ghanaians, including members of the Ghana Armed Forces.

In a statement dated August 14, 2025, and signed by its President, Michael Kofi Owusu, the association extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the Ghana Armed Forces, and the entire nation.

“This devastating incident has sent shockwaves across the country. We are deeply affected by the loss of these brave men who dedicated their lives to serving our nation,” the statement read.

The association’s National Secretary, Adande Kojo, and National Public Relations Officer, Evans Waja, joined the call for national unity in mourning the fallen heroes.

ORAG said it stands in solidarity with the government and people of Ghana in this time of grief, urging the public to honour the memories of the victims and ensure their sacrifices are never forgotten.

“May God grant the departed souls eternal peace, and may their families find strength and comfort in their loved ones and the nation,” the statement concluded.

The helicopter crash, which occurred last week, has drawn widespread tributes from political leaders, civil society groups, and ordinary citizens.
