The Western North Regional Minister, Hon. Wilbert Petty Brentum, has appealed for calm and restraint following the fatal shooting incident at Sefwi Sayerano in the Juaboso Municipality, which claimed three lives and left several others injured.
Describing the incident as tragic and deeply disturbing, the Minister said he received the news with profound sadness and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families on behalf of the Government and the people of the Western North Region.
He also wished those receiving medical treatment a speedy and full recovery, assuring them that the thoughts and prayers of the region were with them during this difficult period.
According to the Minister, the incident has brought pain not only to the people of Sefwi Sayerano but also to residents of the Juaboso Municipality and the entire Western North Region.
Hon. Brentum urged residents of Sefwi Sayerano and neighbouring communities to remain calm, exercise maximum restraint, and refrain from any acts of retaliation or violence that could further escalate tensions.
He appealed to the public to allow the appropriate state institutions to conduct a thorough, impartial, and transparent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The Regional Minister stressed that preserving peace, safeguarding lives, and maintaining public order should remain the collective responsibility of all residents while investigations continue.
