ANFYA-NAKABA CHIEF, ASSEMBLYMAN AND UNIT COMMITTEE SUPPORT BECE CANDIDATES WITH 60 TRUNKS

The Chief of Anfagya-Nakaba, Nana Kenya (I), in collaboration with his Assemblyman, Hon. Sheibu Danbie, and the Unit Committee, has donated 60 trunks to BECE students in his area. The initiative aims to support parents who are financially struggling and ensure students have the resources they need to succeed.

According to Nana Kenya, the funds for the donation were raised from the percentage they receive annually from the community’s public toilets. He emphasized that such locally generated funds can make a significant impact on the lives of students and their families.

He further stated that education is the key to success and expressed his commitment to ensuring that graduates emerge from the community through proper educational support and guidance.

The Chief encouraged students to remain focused on their studies, stressing that hard work and dedication are essential for achieving their goals.

He also warned the youth against the use of drugs such as weed, tramadol, and red-etc, highlighting the negative effects these substances can have on their personal development and future opportunities.

The Assemblyman, Hon. Sheibu Danbie, expressed his support for the initiative, noting that community collaboration is crucial in creating an enabling environment for students to thrive academically.

The Unit Committee is among the key bodies that worked closely with the Chief and the Assemblyman to organize and distribute the trunks to the students, ensuring that the process was smooth and transparent.

Parents in the community have welcomed the donation, describing it as a timely intervention that will relieve some of the financial burdens associated with preparing their children for the BECE examinations.

This initiative is part of broader efforts by community leaders to empower young people through education, providing them with opportunities to succeed and make meaningful contributions to society.

The Chief and the Assemblyman pledged to continue supporting education in the area and encouraged other community members to contribute to similar initiatives, emphasizing that collective effort is key to transforming lives.
