Sefwiman Rural Bank PLC, a leading financial institution in the Western North Region headquartered in Bibiani, has extended a helping hand to traders whose container shops were destroyed by fire a month ago in Bibiani, the capital of the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality.

The bank donated packets of roofing sheets to the victims, with each packet valued at GH₵1,300. Clients of the bank received two packets each, while non-clients were given one packet each.

Speaking on behalf of the bank, Board Member Mr. Isaac Nkrumah, popularly known as “Mayor,” explained that the gesture forms part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility initiatives.

He noted, “This is not the first time we are supporting the community,” adding that the donation is aimed at helping the victims revive their businesses and rebuild their livelihoods.

Mr. Nkrumah also urged the public to invest and do business with the bank to enjoy its benefits, highlighting the institution’s commitment to supporting the local economy.

One of the beneficiaries, Janet Oppong Danso, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Sefwiman Rural Bank for the support, especially as a loyal customer during this difficult period. She said the kind gesture has restored her hope and confidence in rebuilding her business.

Other victims who were not previously customers of the bank also expressed profound appreciation, revealing that they will now open accounts and transact with Sefwiman Rural Bank. They further encouraged the community to save and do business with the bank going forward.
