MCUG HAILS COSMAS ANPENGNUO FOR STAKEHOLDER-DRIVEN DIGITAL REFORMS

The Motorcycle Couriers Union of Ghana (MCUG) has commended Cosmas Anpengnuo, Executive Secretary of the Postal and Courier Services Regulatory Commission, for spearheading stakeholder-driven digital reforms in Ghana’s courier industry.

The Union expressed appreciation for the Commission’s extensive engagement with stakeholders in developing a robust digital registration system aimed at enhancing regulation, efficiency, and transparency across the sector.

MCUG highlighted the meticulous planning and effort that went into preparing the proposed system, which was recently presented for feedback from unions and other industry actors.

“The proposed digital registration system is comprehensive and insightful,” the Union said, noting that it reflects the Commission’s commitment to advancing professionalism and growth in the courier sector.

The Union praised the Executive Secretary and the Commission for ensuring that the voices of all stakeholders were considered in shaping the reforms.

MCUG emphasized that active stakeholder participation is critical to creating a robust and effective regulatory framework that meets the evolving needs of the courier industry.

The Union also noted that the system will help streamline operations, reduce administrative bottlenecks, and improve service delivery for courier operators nationwide.

“Improved regulation will foster greater professionalism, accountability, and trust within the industry,” MCUG added, underscoring the broader impact of the reforms.

The Union expressed excitement over the progress made so far and looks forward to continued collaboration with the Commission and other stakeholders to ensure the system’s successful implementation.

Concluding the statement, Abugri Timothy Agengri, General Secretary of MCUG, said the reforms are already making a positive impact and that citizens are beginning to benefit from a more transparent and efficient courier sector.
