NDC Youth Leader Proposes ‘Big Push Road’ Naming to Honor President Mahama’s Vision

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Youth Organizer for the Nkoranza South Constituency in the Bono East Region, Ofosu Yaw Isaac (popularly known as Yaw White), has called on President John Dramani Mahama to name the Big Push road projects “Big Push Road.”

Speaking on Fabea FM in an exclusive interview with Apiah-Kubi, Yaw White noted that the project is a novel vision that should have a lasting impact rather than being a fleeting phenomenon.

In his statement, Yaw White recalled some roads and projects that were named after their sources or initiators.

He added that the Big Push project, upon completion, could become historic in Ghana’s infrastructural and developmental journey, and therefore deserves support for the proposed naming.

“This is a novel vision from President Mahama and should not be just whitewashed,” Yaw White said.

He emphasized that the Big Push project will create job opportunities for the youth and address infrastructural challenges across the country.

“I reiterate my suggestion that there should be a ‘Big Push Road’ name in every region where there is a Big Push project,” Yaw White opined.

He concluded that the $10 billion budget invested in the project deserves recognition and should be immortalized through the naming of these roads.
