THE GOSPEL REVIVALIST CALLS FOR NATIONAL SUPPORT FOR STREET CHILDREN

An Accra-based non-governmental organization, The Gospel Revivalist, has issued a heartfelt appeal to the Government, Civil Society Organizations, philanthropists, and the general public to show greater compassion and support for the growing number of street children and orphans across the country.

According to the organization, thousands of children wake up every morning with no certainty of food, safety, shelter, or love. Many, it said, sleep on cold pavements, wander the streets in search of scraps, and endure daily struggles that no child should ever face. Despite their harsh circumstances, the NGO emphasized that these children possess the same dreams, potential, and hope as any child in Ghana.

Speaking at the launch of an upcoming donation drive scheduled for November 30, 2025, the President of The Gospel Revivalist, Apostle Newman Oduro, expressed deep concern over society’s growing neglect of vulnerable children. He warned that such abandonment threatens not only the emotional well-being of these children but also their future, as lack of support exposes them to exploitation, crime, and abuse.

Apostle Oduro appealed to individuals, families, churches, corporate bodies, and all well-meaning Ghanaians to join the initiative by contributing in cash or kind. He stressed that even small acts of kindness have the power to restore hope and transform the lives of children who currently feel forgotten.

“These children are not strangers; they are our sons and daughters born into a world that has not been fair to them. A little kindness from us can change their entire story,” he said, urging the public to rise to the call of compassion.

The Gospel Revivalist noted that the upcoming donation exercise forms part of its broader mission to provide relief, mentorship, and spiritual guidance to children living in vulnerable conditions. The organization encouraged the public to participate actively in the drive to give these children a chance at a better future.
