WNR NDC ASPIRANT CONDEMNS NPP’S ‘YE GYE YƐN SIKA’ DEMO

An aspiring Deputy Western North Regional Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Ackah Nelson Frank, has condemned the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) alleged “Ye Gye Yɛn Sika” demonstration claims, describing them as baseless and an attempt to divert public attention from the opposition party’s internal challenges.

Hon. Ackah Nelson Frank, who is also the National President of the Ghana Association of Assembly Members (GAAM) and Assembly Member for the Asawinso A Electoral Area, said the NPP should rather concentrate on rebuilding its party than engaging in what he described as unnecessary political attacks against the NDC government.

According to him, the opposition has a responsibility to put its house in order following its electoral defeat instead of seeking to create public disaffection against a government committed to delivering on its promises.

He maintained that the NDC government remained focused on its development agenda and was determined to fulfil its commitments to Ghanaians, stressing that no amount of political criticism or demonstrations would derail its resolve to deliver on its mandate.

The NDC aspirant further argued that the government deserved sufficient time and support to implement its policies, urging the opposition to offer constructive criticism rather than engage in what he described as politically motivated agitation.

He also appealed to Ghanaians not to be swayed by what he considered unfounded claims and political propaganda, encouraging the public to assess the government based on its policies, performance and tangible achievements.

Hon. Ackah Nelson Frank expressed confidence in the NDC’s political direction, insisting that the party remained united, focused and committed to delivering5 on its mandate despite attempts by political opponents to create distractions.

Turning his attention to the forthcoming NDC internal elections, he appealed to delegates in the Western North Region to give him their mandate as Deputy Regional Communication Officer to help strengthen the party’s communication machinery.

He explained that his ambition was driven by the desire to strengthen communication structures, bridge the gap between party leadership, grassroots supporters and the general public, and ensure that the NDC’s policies and achievements were effectively communicated.

He pledged to work diligently with the6 regional leadership and constituency communication officers to promote effective information sharing, grassroots engagement and a coordinated communication strategy.

Hon. Ackah Nelson Frank therefore appealed to delegates to support his candidature, assuring them of dedicated service and effective communication to help project the party’s achievements, strengthen its grassroots base and consolidate its political fortunes ahead of the 2028 general elections.
