The President of TESCON KNUST, Godfred Akwasi Frimpong, has urged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to consider Obidombie Kwabena Asamoah, former Deputy CEO of MASLOC, as part of the campaign team for the 2028 Presidential Elections.
He stated that whoever emerges as flagbearer of the party must not overlook the immense contributions of Mr. Asamoah, who has, over the years, played a significant role in youth mobilization for the NPP.
Mr. Asamoah currently serves as Patron for Free SHS Graduates and First-Time Voters under the Ashanti Regional Youth Wing. His commitment to the youth has earned him wide recognition, not only within the NPP but also in other youth-centered programs and platforms such as NUGS, SRC, and various youth forums.
His impact on the youth continues to be felt across these platforms, where his passion for empowerment and grassroots organization stands out.
It is estimated that more than 70% of Ghanaian youth, particularly within the Ashanti Regional Youth Wing, regard him as a mentor and role model. This influence, according to observers, demonstrates his ability to connect with young people across the political divide.
Mr. Frimpong further noted that Mr. Asamoah’s unwavering support for TESCON and the broader party makes him “an integral personality who can help secure victory for the NPP in 2028.”
The TESCON KNUST President concluded by stressing that Obidombie Kwabena Asamoah’s dedication to youth empowerment and grassroots mobilization remains unmatched, and his inclusion in the party’s campaign machinery would provide a major boost to its chances in the next general elections.
