A Unity Walk involving all constituency aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency has been scheduled to take place at Kwamekrom on 5th July 2026. The programme is aimed at promoting peace, decorum, and decent campaigning ahead of the constituency elections.

The event, being organised by the Kwamekrom Electoral Area NPP, is expected to bring together all aspirants and party supporters to reinforce unity and mutual respect before, during, and after the internal elections. Organisers say the initiative is intended to reduce tensions and promote a healthy democratic process.

According to the organisers, the Unity Walk forms part of efforts to strengthen internal cohesion within the party at the grassroots level. They stressed that unity among members is key to electoral success and effective mobilisation going forward.

The programme is expected to begin promptly at 5:40 a.m. at Kwamekrom, with participants including constituency executives, aspirants, polling station officers, and party faithful from across the area.

Key personalities expected to attend include Kwabena Amankwah Asiedu, Western North Deputy Youth Organiser; Hon. Kwame Asamoah, the incumbent constituency chairman; Joseph Halifax Amandeh; and Anane Korsah, the incumbent Deputy Secretary.

All constituency aspirants are expected to participate fully in the walk, symbolising their commitment to peaceful competition and the collective progress of the party in the constituency.

Speaking ahead of the event, organisers emphasised that the walk is strictly within the party context and is designed to remind members that internal competition should not lead to division or hostility.

They further noted that the period leading to the constituency elections scheduled for 11th July 2026 requires heightened discipline, tolerance, and respect among supporters and candidates to safeguard the image of the party.

Security and organisational arrangements have been put in place to ensure a smooth and orderly programme, with emphasis on punctuality, discipline, and peaceful conduct throughout the event.

The Unity Walk is expected to end with a brief address by party leaders, who will reiterate the importance of unity and call on all aspirants to accept the outcome of the elections in good faith for the progress of the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency and the NPP as a whole.
