The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairman for Amenfi West, Mr. Obed Asamoa, has categorically denied claims that Hon. Eric Afful, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate, lobbied for the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) machines into the Municipality.
Mr. Asamoa expressed shock and disappointment over Hon. Eric Afful’s alleged claims on a local radio station, stating that the NDC Parliamentary Candidate should be ashamed of peddling lies. He urged the constituents to disregard such assertions and called on Hon. Eric Afful to focus on a better message rather than spreading lies and propaganda.
“It’s unfortunate that the NDC Parliamentary Candidate would claim credit for the DRIP initiative. The truth is, this programme is a testament to the Nana Addo-Bawumia led administration’s commitment to improving road infrastructure and enhancing economic growth,” Mr. Asamoa said.
He emphasized that the DRIP initiative is a government programme designed to address long-standing road infrastructure challenges faced by communities across the country. “The programme’s benefits, including improved road conditions, enhanced economic activities, and better quality of life for residents, are evident for all to see,” he added.
Mr. Asamoa expressed confidence that the NPP will reclaim the Amenfi West seat from the NDC, citing the government’s achievements and the party’s commitment to delivering on its promises. “We will not be swayed by the NDC’s propaganda and lies. Our focus is on improving the lives of Ghanaians, and we will continue to work towards that goal,” he stated.
He cautioned the NDC to desist from politics of insult and attacks, warning that the NPP will not hesitate to respond accordingly. “We are aware that the NDC is aware of losing the December 7 polls, but that’s no excuse to resort to lies and propaganda,” he added.
The DRIP initiative has been hailed as a significant achievement by the government, with many communities already benefiting from the improved road network. The programme is expected to bring relief to road users and boost economic growth in the country.
In conclusion, the NPP Constituency Chairman’s dismissal of claims that Hon. Eric Afful lobbied for the DRIP machines highlights the ongoing political debate in Amenfi West. As the election season approaches, voters will be keen to separate fact from fiction and hold their leaders accountable for their promises.
Notably, the Amenfi West constituency has witnessed significant growth under the NPP government, despite the NDC’s historical dominance in the area. The constituents are eager to support the NPP-led government in the upcoming elections, acknowledging its achievements and commitment to development.
Ultimately, the voters of Amenfi West are ready to make an informed decision, and their choice will shape the future of the constituency, while voting massively for the NPP.
