TWIFO ATTI MORKWA — National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Youth Organiser aspirant for Twifo Atti Morkwa, Budu Kofi Theophilus, has pledged to contribute GH¢10,000 to the constituency party’s Welfare Account if elected to office.
Mr. Theophilus, who occupies Number One on the ballot paper, said the commitment forms part of his vision to improve the welfare of party members and strengthen support for the grassroots.
He explained that the proposed contribution would help provide financial assistance to party members facing emergencies, particularly those requiring urgent medical attention and support with hospital bills.
According to him, the welfare of party members must remain a priority, considering the sacrifices they make towards the growth, organisation and electoral success of the party.
The aspirant expressed the hope that the proposed GH¢10,000 contribution would help ease the financial burden on members confronted with unexpected health challenges and other emergency situations requiring immediate attention.
He further indicated that his ambition to become the constituency’s Youth Organiser was driven by his desire to serve the party and contribute to initiatives that would improve the well-being of its members.
Mr. Theophilus also urged fellow aspirants to conduct their campaigns peacefully and focus on presenting their ideas, policies and plans for the development of the NDC in Twifo Atti Morkwa.
He cautioned against the use of insults and personal attacks during the internal elections, stressing that the contest should provide an opportunity for candidates to demonstrate what they can contribute to the party rather than create unnecessary divisions.
He appealed to delegates to maintain peace throughout the electoral process and vote for a candidate they believe can work diligently to advance the party’s interests and strengthen its grassroots structures.
Mr. Theophilus’s GH¢10,000 welfare pledge is a key component of his campaign message as he seeks the mandate to lead the constituency’s youth wing. If elected, the fulfilment of the commitment would be an important step towards providing the promised assistance to members facing medical emergencies.
