The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Aowin, Hon. Dr Stephen Ntow Morcher, has congratulated newly elected constituency executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), calling on party members to put all differences aside and work together for the party’s progress.
Hon. Dr Morcher urged the newly elected executives and other party faithful to embrace unity, cooperation and mutual understanding following the constituency-level elections, stressing that the collective interest of the party must take precedence over individual ambitions.
He said all differences arising from the electoral contest must be put aside to allow members to work together towards strengthening the party’s structures and advancing its objectives.
The MCE congratulated the successful aspirants on their victories and commended all candidates who participated in the elections. He noted that internal elections should be viewed as an opportunity to consolidate the party’s democratic credentials rather than create divisions among members.
According to him, the responsibility now rests on the newly elected executives to demonstrate leadership, humility and commitment by bringing all members together, including those who supported unsuccessful candidates.
He further urged the winners to reach out to their opponents and supporters across the constituency, emphasising that every member has a valuable role to play in building a united and formidable party.
Hon. Dr Morcher also appealed to unsuccessful aspirants to accept the outcome of the elections in good faith and support the new executives in the collective interest of the NDC.
He stressed that unity at the constituency level was essential to strengthening grassroots mobilisation, promoting effective communication and ensuring that the concerns of party members were adequately addressed.
The Aowin MCE encouraged party supporters, particularly those in the Aowin Constituency, to rally behind the newly elected executives and contribute to the party’s development. He noted that cooperation and a shared sense of purpose would be vital to achieving their common goals.
He also expressed appreciation to the NDC regional executives, the Electoral Commission (EC) and all other stakeholders who contributed to the successful conduct of the constituency elections, commending their efforts in facilitating the electoral process.
He concluded by congratulating the newly elected constituency executives and reiterating his call for all party members to put their differences aside, maintain peace and work together towards a stronger and more united NDC.
