Open Letter to the NDC Parliamentary Candidate and Campaign Team in Amenfi West
Dear Hon. Eric Afful, Kofi Asante, and the NDC Campaign Team,
It is deeply concerning that your campaign has embraced the slogan “Nipah titriw biara Nni NPP,” which has been echoed by key members, including your Deputy Communicator Akoto on Royal 89.3 FM. This slogan is a direct insult to every NPP supporter in Amenfi West, and it’s disheartening to see such derogatory language replacing meaningful discourse on the real issues facing our constituency.
Despite your accusations that the NPP engages in a “Politics of Insult,” you have provided no evidence to support these claims. In contrast, we have video and audio proof of your team members, particularly Kofi Asante, openly insulting the NPP fraternity and labeling us as “useless people.”
This hypocritical behavior is unacceptable and must stop immediately.
We warn you to cease this disrespectful rhetoric. Any further insults will be met with a firm response. We also urge the family of Kofi Asante to seriously consider his mental well-being, as his actions in this campaign raise concerns about his suitability to lead any political discourse. Politics should be about ideas, not insults”.The people of Amenfi West deserve better. We call on you to focus on the issues that truly matter and engage in a campaign worthy of the constituents you seek to represent.
