Respect Culture, Traditions, and Chiefs – Wenchiki Paramount Chief Counsels Mahama

The Paramount Chief of Wenchiki Traditional Area, Nana Alhaji Abubakar Awufour, has offered some wise words to President-elect John Dramani Mahama. He advised Mahama to prioritize Ghana’s culture, traditions, and religious groups, ensuring their needs are met and respected throughout his administration.

Nana Abubakar emphasized that Mahama’s victory in the 2024 election indicates that Ghanaians want him to lead again. He cautioned Mahama not to neglect his roots and the cultural heritage of Ghana, warning that doing so would have regrettable consequences.

The Paramount Chief also urged Mahama to maintain strong relationships with traditional rulers and religious leaders, including pastors who prayed for his victory. By doing so, Nana Abubakar believes Mahama will earn their continued support and blessings.

Lastly, Nana Abubakar appealed to the youth to cease vandalizing state properties, promoting a sense of responsibility and respect for national assets.
