Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah, Founder and Leader of the Believers Worship Centre, has appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to sign the Anti-Witchcraft Bill into law to strengthen the protection of persons accused of witchcraft.

According to him, the passage of the Bill into law would send a strong message that Ghana does not tolerate violence and discrimination againstr persons accused of witchcraft.

The Founder and Leader of the Believers Worship Centre also called on religious leaders, traditional authorities and community leadersf to intensify public education on the dangers associated with witchcraft accusations.

He urged families and communities to desist from taking the law into their own handsf whenever suspicions or allegations arise, stressing the need to rely on lawful processes to address disputes.

Prophet Adom Kyei-Duah further encouraged Ghanaians to treat vulnerable persons with dignity and compassion, regardless of their beliefs or circumstances.

He expressed the hope that President Mahama would consider the appeal and give the Anti-Witchcraft Bill the necessary presidential assent to facilitate its implementation.

He said protecting people from witchcraft-related abuse5f was not only a legal responsibility but also a moral obligation that required collective action from government, religious bodies, traditional authorities and the public.
