The Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA) has announced that it will hold the National Oil Palm Multi-Stakeholder Roundtable Forum on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen Ghana’s oil palm industry and promote sustainable economic development.
The forum is expected to bring together key stakeholders from across the oil palm value chain, including government institutions, industry players, development partners, researchers, financial institutions, processors, exporters and farmer organizations to deliberate on the future of the sector.
According to the TCDA, the event will provide a platform for meaningful dialogue aimed at identifying practical solutions to challenges confronting the oil palm industry while exploring opportunities for growth, investment and increased competitiveness.
The Authority indicated that discussions will focus on translating existing policies into concrete actions capable of driving productivity, improving value addition and expanding market access for Ghanaian oil palm products.
Participants are also expected to examine strategies for strengthening partnerships among public and private sector actors to ensure coordinated efforts towards the sustainable development of the industry.
TCDA believes that stronger collaboration among stakeholders will help unlock the enormous economic potential of the oil palm sector, create jobs and improve livelihoods for thousands of farmers and businesses across the country.
The forum is expected to highlight the importance of sustainable production practices, environmental protection and responsible investment as Ghana seeks to position itself as a leading producer of quality oil palm products in the sub-region.
Industry experts will share insights on innovation, financing, climate resilience, research and technology adoption, all of which are considered essential for enhancing productivity and increasing the sector’s contribution to national economic growth.
The Authority has encouraged all stakeholders within the oil palm value chain to participate actively in the roundtable, stressing that inclusive dialogue and collective action are critical to achieving lasting transformation in the sector.
TCDA expressed optimism that the outcomes of the National Oil Palm Multi-Stakeholder Roundtable Forum will produce actionable recommendations that will accelerate the growth of Ghana’s oil palm industry and contribute significantly to sustainable national development.
