Dr. Alhaji Hassan Ayariga, Leader of the All People’s Congress (APC), has called on Ghanaians to embrace love, forgiveness, and unity as Christians in Ghana and around the world celebrate Christmas.
In a Christmas and New Year goodwill message, Dr. Ayariga said the birth of Jesus Christ remains a powerful symbol of hope, peace, and selfless love—values he noted should continue to guide human relations in society.
He encouraged families to use the festive season to strengthen bonds at home, stressing that strong families form the foundation of a peaceful and progressive nation.
Dr. Ayariga also urged citizens to extend kindness and compassion to the less fortunate, emphasizing that caring for the vulnerable reflects the true meaning of Christmas.
According to him, the season presents an opportunity for forgiveness and reconciliation, and he appealed to individuals to let go of past grievances and promote harmony within their communities.
He further prayed for the peace of Christ to dwell in every home, noting that lasting peace begins when people choose tolerance, humility, and mutual respect in their daily interactions.
Touching on national unity, the APC leader appealed to Ghanaians to walk together in unity despite political, religious, and social differences, describing unity as essential for national development.
Looking ahead to the New Year, Dr. Ayariga expressed hope for divine blessings, good health, and prosperity for families and the nation as a whole.
He said the New Year should be viewed as a period of renewal and positive change, encouraging citizens to remain hopeful and committed to collective progress.
Dr. Ayariga concluded by wishing all Ghanaians a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year, extending warm greetings from himself and his family.
