Mr. Isaac Anyimah, a Vice Chairman aspirant for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency, has declared that the welfare of grassroots members will be his top priority if given the nod. According to him, the strength of the party lies in the commitment of its loyal foot soldiers, and any serious leader must put their interests first.
Speaking in an interview, Mr. Anyimah expressed concern over what he described as a growing culture of selfishness among some constituency executives. “Some of these executives only think about their stomachs. That is not good for our party and not good for unity,”emphasized.
What sets Mr. Anyimah apart from other contenders is his unwavering commitment to philanthropy. Despite losing the previous constituency executive election, he has consistently supported the needy in the community. His notable contributions include the donation of school uniforms, payment of school fees, medical bill support, and various forms of assistance to the vulnerable—acts that have earned him deep respect from both party members and the general public.
Having served in various grassroots capacities within the party, Mr. Anyimah pledged that his leadership would be anchored in selflessness, transparency, and dedication to service. He noted that his inspiration comes from former President John Dramani Mahama, whose achievements within just six months in office, he believes, exemplify effective and visionary leadership.
“President Mahama is a man of vision and action. Within six months, he was able to demonstrate real progress. That’s the kind of results-driven leadership I want to emulate at the local level,” Mr. Anyimah stated.
He further appealed to NDC members in Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai to remain calm, united, and focused on the bigger picture. “If you aren’t sorted out today, you will benefit in the future. That’s how politics goes,” he remarked, urging patience and collective effort in supporting the current administration to deliver on its promises.
Mr. Anyimah assured delegates that his doors will always remain open, promising to work closely with the youth and women to build a stronger, people-centered party.
