Subri, Ghana – Residents of Subri, a community in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality of Ghana’s Western north Region, are demanding answers from their Member of Parliament (MP), Hon.Alfred Obeng Boateng, over his apparent disappearance after winning the last parliamentary elections.
The community, which has been plagued by poor network connectivity and inadequate infrastructure, is questioning the MP’s priorities after discovering newly dug holes along the major streets in the community, with no visible signs of construction or development.
“We haven’t seen our MP since he won the elections, We thought he would come and address our pressing needs, but instead, we see holes being dug everywhere. What’s the purpose of these holes?”
The residents, who claim they were promised better infrastructure and amenities during the MP’s campaign, are frustrated and disappointed by his lack of engagement.
“We were promised communication mast and other important amenities, why these plenty holes at our backyards, collecting water and bleeding mosquitoes”, * said Mr. Kofi Owusu, a local business owner. This is unacceptable.”
However, residents remain skeptical, citing previous unfulfilled promises.
“We’ve heard enough promises. We want action. We want to see tangible development, not just holes in the ground.”
The Subri community is now calling on the MP to provide clear explanations and timelines for the project.
“We want transparency and accountability. If our MP can’t deliver, then perhaps it’s time for a change.”
As tensions rise, the Subri community waits with bated breath for answers from their elected representative.
