The Headmistress of Gyereso D/A Basic School, Madam Yaa Amoanimaa, has commended the Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua, Hon. Seth Osei-Akoto, for fulfilling a promise he made to the school.
According to Madam Amoanimaa, the MP’s decision to return to support the school demonstrated his commitment to addressing some of its pressing infrastructural needs.
She made the remarks during an interview on Still Waters Radio 89.7 FM in Nyinahin, where she expressed appreciation to the MP for responding to concerns previously raised by the school.
Her comments followed the presentation of 14 packets of roofing sheets and street bulbs to Gyereso D/A Basic School to support its infrastructural and lighting needs.
Madam Amoanimaa described the intervention as significant to the school, stressing that the support would help address some of the challenges confronting the institution.
She said the MP had listened to the concerns of the school community and, rather than allowing the matter to end with a promise, had returned to fulfil his commitment.
The Headmistress further expressed gratitude to Hon. Osei-Akoto for remembering the school and acting on the concerns brought to his attention.
The intervention, according to the Atwima Mponua Constituency NPP Communications Directorate, forms part of efforts by the MP to respond to development needs within the constituency.
The Constituency Communications Directorate said the gesture demonstrates the importance of following through on commitments made to communities, particularly in areas such as education and basic infrastructure.
Madam Amoanimaa and the school community subsequently expressed appreciation for the support, with the intervention being described as a case of “a promise made and a promise kept.”

“HE DIDN’T FORGET US”: GYERESO HEADMISTRESS PRAISES MP SETH OSEI-AKOTO FOR KEEPING HIS WORD
A promise means little until it is kept.
For Madam Yaa Amoanimaa, Headmistress of Gyereso D/A Basic School, Hon. Seth Osei-Akoto did exactly that.
Speaking on Still Waters Radio 89.7 FM in Nyinahin, she expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the MP for fulfilling his promise to the school.
The appreciation followed the presentation of 14 packets of roofing sheets and street bulbs to support the school’s infrastructural and lighting needs.
For Madam Amoanimaa, it was more than a donation.
He listened.
He remembered.
And he came back to keep his word.
That is the kind of gesture communities remember.
At Gyereso D/A Basic School, a promise has become a reality — and the school community is grateful.
A promise made.
A promise kept.
