NDC Youth Force Calls on Ghanaians to Disown the NPP Over Rampant Corruption and Greed Exposed

PRESS RELEASE!

The recent revelations of enormous corruption scandals involving top officials and close associates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government from 2017 to 2028 lay bare the depth of greed and betrayal inflicted on Ghana’s public resources. As the NDC Youth Force, we raise a clarion call to all ordinary Ghanaians: the NPP must never be allowed near political power again if we are to restore honesty, integrity, and genuine development to our beloved nation.

Investigations by the Attorney General and the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) have uncovered some of the worst cases of public fund misuse in recent history. Hanan Abdul-Wahab, former CEO of the National Food and Buffer Stock Company, is alleged to have masterminded a corrupt network that stole over GH¢78 million. Alongside his wife, Faiza Seidu Wuni, the charges of stealing, conspiracy, money laundering, and willful financial loss leave no doubt about the scale of this criminal enterprise. Their lavish lifestyles, luxury properties, and even GH¢10 million in frozen fixed deposits reflect sheer recklessness and impunity.

In the banking sector, Akwasi Agyemang-Abebrese, a former bank manager, reportedly siphoned GH¢33 million from a postgraduate student hostel account and other funds — a glaring example of how the NPP’s web of corruption extends far beyond government institutions.

Similarly, Kwabena Adu Boahene and his wife, Angela Boateng, are implicated in the Buffer Stock theft amounting to about GH¢49 million, further revealing the entrenched greed within the NPP’s inner circles. Meanwhile, the National Service Authority scandal exposes theft exceeding GH¢2 billion involving key party figures, including Osei Assibey Antwi and Gifty Oware.

Adding to this damning list is the case of Ken Ofori-Atta, former Minister of Finance, who has been accused of corrupt dealings involving tens of millions of Ghana cedis, exposing corruption at the highest levels of the NPP government.

These alarming figures are not just statistics — they represent stolen dreams, disrupted development, and broken trust with the ordinary Ghanaian who relies on the government for progress and hope. The NPP’s era was marked by greed, poor governance, and the prioritization of personal enrichment over national advancement.

Ghana deserves better. The people deserve leadership that champions transparency, accountability, and service to the public good. The NDC Youth Force stands resolute in calling on every Ghanaian to see the NPP’s record as a painful reminder to reject the party outright in future elections. Our nation’s future depends on this collective decision.

This is a fight to reclaim Ghana from kleptocracy and rebuild our nation with honesty and dedication. Ordinary Ghanaians must unite and refuse to tolerate any return of this corrupt party for the sake of our children and generations yet unborn.
