Residents within the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality in the western north region of Ghana have expressed their deep frustration and disappointment over the lack of growth and development in their area. Despite being a significant hub in the region, BAB has seen little to no progress in terms of infrastructure, economic opportunities, and social services.
In an interview with the press, they expressed their concerns and vent their frustrations. We’re tired of being neglected,” said one resident. “We deserve better roads, better schools, and better healthcare facilities.”
Another resident added, “Our children have to travel long distances to access quality education and network. Our businesses struggle due to poor infrastructure. It’s time for change.”
The lack of growth and development in BAB has been attributed to various factors, including poor governance, lack of investment, and inadequate planning. Residents feel that their leaders have failed to prioritize their needs and have instead focused on personal gain.
“We’ve been promised many things, but nothing has been delivered,” said a local business owner. “We need action, not words.”
The residents are calling on their leaders to take immediate action to address the issues plaguing their community. They demand improved infrastructure, increased economic opportunities, and better social services.
As one resident passionately stated, “We’re not asking for the moon. We’re asking for basic necessities. It’s time for our leaders to step up and deliver.”
They ended with a sense of determination and unity among the residents. They vowed to continue pushing for change and holding their leaders accountable.
The plight of BAB serves as a reminder that growth and development are not just statistics, but a reality that affects people’s lives. It’s time for leaders to listen and act.
