BABM: Residents Mount Pressure on MCE Over Failure to Facilitate Development After A Year in Office

Residents of Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality (BABM) are fed up with the lack of development in their area and are urging the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Paul Andoh, to take action. Despite a year in office marked by unfulfilled promises and stalled projects, the MCE has failed to deliver meaningful development, leaving residents frustrated and disillusioned.

“We are tired of empty promises and excuses,” said Mr. Kwasi Nimoh, a concerned citizen. “We need concrete actions and tangible results, not just words.”

The residents’ concerns include poor road infrastructure, inadequate healthcare facilities, lack of employment opportunities, and insufficient access to basic amenities like water and sanitation.

“We have been patient for far too long,” said Gifty, a local business owner. “It’s time for the MCE to deliver on his promises and bring development to our doorstep.”

Residents are demanding accountability and transparency in the use of municipal funds and resources. “We want to know how our taxes are being used,” said a resident. “We want to see tangible results, not just hearsay.”

As pressure mounts, residents are vowing to take their demands to the streets if necessary. “We will not be silenced or ignored,” said a community leader. “We will fight for our rights and demand development for our community.”

The situation in BABM reflects growing discontent among residents in municipalities nationwide, where promises of development often fail to materialize.
