CEO of Magtwins EAGLE Foundation Applauds Mahama’s Adwuma Wura Initiative

Mrs. Patricia Kwarteng, the CEO of Magtwins EAGLE Foundation, has commended H.E. President John Dramani Mahama’s ‘Adwuma Wura’ initiative, aimed at generating employment opportunities for Ghanaian youth.

According to Mrs. Kwarteng, the initiative’s potential benefits to the youth are unlimited. She is appealing to the government to put in place pragmatic measures to promote locally produced products by mandating Ghanaians to patronize locally-made goods for their children in various educational ladders.

To promote our local industries, students can wear made-in-Ghana sandals on Mondays to Wednesdays and reserve imported shoes for Thursdays and Fridays, for example, and eat food prepared from local farm-produced goods.

By adopting a similar approach to the Western world, where locally-made uniforms are encouraged, Ghana could establish its own manufacturing sector, providing employment and economic opportunities for young people.

This move will spur market growth, attracting customers from within and outside Ghana, and creating employment opportunities for young people.

The growing unemployment rate among Ghanaian youth poses a significant threat to national security and economic instability, potentially driving individuals to engage in illicit activities.

However, the Adwuma Wura initiative is expected to significantly reduce unemployment rates in the country by providing job opportunities for Ghanaian youth.

By promoting entrepreneurship and skills development, the initiative will empower young people to start their own businesses or secure employment in various industries.

The private sector can also play a crucial role in supporting the Adwuma Wura initiative by reaching out to individuals who may not have access to job opportunities, especially in cities where it may be challenging to explore their skills.

By partnering with the government, private sector companies can provide training, mentorship, and job placement services to young people, helping them to acquire the skills and experience needed to succeed in the job market.
