Gov’t-Broken Promise: NABCO Arrears Remain Unpaid, Trainees’ Faith Shaken

The Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) program, initiated by the government in 2018, aimed to provide temporary employment opportunities for graduates. However, the program has been marred by controversy, with trainees facing persistent delays in stipend payments.

Despite repeated assurances from the government, thousands of NABCO trainees remain unpaid, with some arrears dating back several months. This has led to widespread frustration and disappointment among the affected individuals.

“It’s demotivating and has made it difficult for me to take care of my basic needs. We spent our monies for TNT for so called validation but they don’t want to pay us, we shall vote against them, if the government fails to pay us”.

The situation has not only affected the trainees financially but has also shaken their faith in the government’s ability to fulfill its promises.

As the situation continues to unfold, the NABCO trainees are calling on the government to take immediate action to address the issue and ensure that their arrears are paid in full.

“We urge the government to treat our plight with the urgency it deserves “We cannot continue to suffer in silence while the government fails to fulfill its promises. We demand action, not excuses.”
