Healthcare at Your Doorstep: Salaga-South MP Brings Free NHIS Registration to Damba Festival

This year’s Damba Festival in Salaga-South isn’t just about music, dance, and tradition- it’s also about securing the health of families. In partnership with the East Gonja NHIS, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, Member of Parliament for Salaga-South, has launched a 3-day free NHIS registration and renewal exercise in Kpembe, Kafaba, Makango, and Kulaw.

The initiative goes beyond celebration- it’s about saving lives. By making health insurance registration free and easy, the MP is ensuring that mothers, farmers, traders, students and young people can access quality healthcare without worrying about cost.

Communities are already buzzing with anticipation, and long queues are expected as residents seize the chance to secure their NHIS cards.

As the drums of Damba echo through Salaga-South, the message is clear: good health is a celebration worth dancing for. Thanks to this initiative, thousands will not only enjoy the festival but also look to the future with confidence, knowing that healthcare is within reach.

Wishing everyone a happy and peaceful Damba Festival in advance.
