Matthew Volfson Leads Sanitation Effort in Kokrobite

The Kokrobite Institute, led by Matthew Volfson, organized a one-day community cleanup exercise under the theme “WOTE COMMUNITY TRASH & REUSE.” The event brought together workers and volunteers who took part in cleaning various parts of the Kokrobite community.

The exercise began at the Institute of Recycling headquarters and moved through the community bus station, then proceeded to the police station and continued all the way to the Kokrobite beach.

As part of the initiative, Matthew Volfson and a selected group of team members paid a courtesy visit to the Adonten Hene of Kokrobite, Nii Quarshie Djabum Okreketeyua II. The chief warmly welcomed the team and expressed heartfelt gratitude for their efforts in keeping the community clean. He commended their dedication and encouraged them to continue their impactful work. In a show of support, the chief also made a financial contribution to help sustain the cleanup initiative.

Matthew thanked the chief for his generosity and pledged to continue championing sanitation and environmental efforts in the Kokrobite community.

After the visit, Matthew and his team rejoined the rest of the volunteers to complete the exercise, which successfully concluded back at the Institute of Recycling headquarters.
