Alhaji Seidu Agongo, in collaboration with the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), has announced a free nationwide distribution of sewing machines aimed at supporting young people and vulnerable women across Ghana.
The initiative is intended to provide beneficiaries with equipment to enter or expand businesses in dressmaking, tailoring and other areas of the garment industry.
According to information contained in the programme’s promotional material, the distribution will be implemented nationwide, with eligible youth and vulnerable women encouraged to apply for the opportunity.
The initiative forms part of efforts to provide practical tools that can enable beneficiaries to develop vocational skills and pursue income-generating activities.
Applicants have been directed to visit Alhaji Seidu Agongo’s official social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X, to access information about the application process.
The application procedure requires interested persons to download the designated application form and complete it with the required information.
After completing the form, applicants are expected to submit it through the same social media platforms and wait to be contacted by the distribution team.
The organisers have also indicated that promotional videos about the initiative are available in a number of Ghanaian languages, including Twi, Hausa, Dagarti, Ewe, Fanti, English, Frafra, Dagaare, Mamprusi, Moshie, Wala and Kusasi.
The use of multiple Ghanaian languages is expected to make information about the programme accessible to prospective applicants from different linguistic backgrounds across the country.
The organisers have urged interested youth and vulnerable women to take advantage of the opportunity and complete the application process, with the campaign message: “RUSH NOW — DON’T BE LEFT OUT!”
