Amenfi West: NPP Constituency Chairman Rebukes Hon. Eric Afful Over DRIP Machines Claim

Mr. Obed Asamoa, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairman in Amenfi West, Western Region, has publicly rebuked Hon. Eric Afful, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament, for shamefully claiming ownership of the (DRIP) machines distributed in the area.

According to Chairman Asamoa, the DRIP machines were presented by the government to support the reshaping of roads nationwide, and Hon. Afful’s claims of lobbying for the machines for the Amenfi West municipality are misleading and unacceptable.

“The DRIP machines are part of the NPP government’s nationwide initiative, and Amenfi West is benefiting from it. Hon. Afful’s attempts to claim ownership are misleading and baseless,” Chairman Asamoa emphasized.

He urged Hon. Afful to focus on campaigning with substance rather than launching unwarranted attacks on the NPP’s parliamentary candidate and the party as a whole.

“The DRIP machines are meant to improve roads and livelihoods. It’s unacceptable for Hon. Afful to claim ownership and use it as a political tool,” he emphasized.

Ghanaians, especially in Amenfi West, have expressed enthusiasm about the DRIP machines, which will significantly improve the area’s bad roads.

“We welcome the DRIP machines, which will greatly improve our roads. We urge Hon. Afful to stop claiming ownership and allow us to benefit from this initiative,” said a resident.

Chairman Asamoa warned Hon. Afful to desist from attacking the NPP’s candidate and instead focus on constructive campaigning.

“We warn Hon. Afful to avoid personal attacks and find a proper message to sell to the people. He should reclaim his lost identity rather than attacking our parliamentary candidate,” he said.
