BAB: No KG/Primary Block At Ewiakyren & Buabenso Communities- Assembly Member Cries For Help

The assembly member of the Kojina Electoral area in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality of the western north region Hon. Addae Frank is seeking for urgent assistance to construct kindergarten and primary blocks for the Ewiakyren and Buabenso communities.

To gain support, he is urging the construction of toilet facilities for the Kojina, Ewiakyren, Buabenso, Mfranyo and the Abuabo communities in the electoral area.

He said the current situation of the communities has plunged them into serious dilemma. Adding the lack of the classroom blocks at Ewiakyren and Buabenso has compelled parents to stop sending their wards to school due to the longevity of the distance the children have to walk to school to the nearby communities.

“I want to appeal to the government and Non-governmental organizations to come to our aid to construct KG and primary blocks for my people. It’s very unfortunate these children have to walk miles to school in the nearby communities, which has forced the majority of them to stop schooling. We need urgent assistance,” he noted.

Furthermore, he restated that some part of the Abuabo community has gone through numerous years without electricity, resulting in nights spent in darkness due to lack of electricity extension. Therefore, calling on the Electricity company of Ghana and other relevant stakeholders to come to their aid.

“The Abuabo community of over two thousand residents sleep in darkness over the past years since the community keeps growing but no extension of hydro power. It has serious implications on their living standard and we are calling for swift actions from the authorities to avert these challenges before it’s too late.” He emphasized.
